The principle that guides my work is that all kids want to do well, and they do the best they can with the tools they have. When a child is struggling or acting out, figuring out what is happening underneath the surface is critical for determining the right way to help them develop the skills they need to truly flourish. This can be a daunting proposition, but I’m passionate about guiding parents through the process. My commitment is to not only thoroughly explore the presenting issues, but also uncover each child’s strengths and how they can be used to overcome their challenges.

Over the course of my career, I have worked in public schools, private schools, and private practices. My background and graduate-level training is in school psychology, so I am well-equipped to help parents navigate the overlap between clinical diagnosis and educational intervention planning. I enjoy collaborating with school staff and other professionals to ensure an effective and consistent treatment plan is in place. I have a special interest in working with children who experience emotional and behavioral problems associated with anxiety and/or ADHD, but have experience with all types of developmental disorders, including learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and mood disorders. What I love most about this work is helping children and their parents understand that each person’s strengths and weaknesses are what make them unique, and that difficulties are opportunities for growth with the right kind of support.
